Our spot has increadibly good statistics when it comes to windy days. However, in the small chance that it is not windy in Nissakia Loutsa, our team will transfer you to another spot with a different wind system to get you in the water! You can also enjoy your days doing SUP, wakeboarding, Wing, and more!

What equipment do I need to bring for kitesurfing at Nissakia Loutsa?

You will need to bring kite equipment that will suit your body weight for wind conditions between 15 and 33 knots, your board and harness, a thin wetsuit (shorty 2mm to 3mm), for water temperatures between 20 to 27 deegres and appropriate safety gear such as a helmet and impact vest would be appreciated. If you don't have your own equipment, we can assist you in renting or buying equipment.

What is the best time of year to visit Nissakia Loutsa for kitesurfing?

The best time to visit Nissakia Loutsa for kitesurfing is from May to October, when the winds are generally strong and consistent. The peak season for kitesurfing in Greece is July and August, but you can still find good conditions in the shoulder seasons.

The distance between Kite Villa and the kitesurfing spot at Nissakia Loutsa is less than 5 min walking. In case there is no meltemi wind for a day or two in our main spot, we have to possibility to kite in other spots nearby that work with thermal wind effects and usually guarantee 15 - 20 knots of wind: our team will arrange a transfer for you to the other spots.

What is the wind like in Greece?

The wind in Greece can vary, but it is generally consistent and strong during the peak kitesurfing season from May to October. The Meltemi north with that blows during the summer season is generally in between 18 knots to 33 knots. The prevailing wind direction is from the north/northwest, but there may also be occasional southerly winds.

What should I wear when kitesurfing in Greece?

We find that most of our customers prefer to wear a wetsuit: a shorty with a thickness of 2mm will be enough but you can also ride with your board shorts and a UV lycra protection, as well as appropriate safety gear such as a helmet and impact vest. It's also a good idea to wear sunscreen and sunglasses to protect your skin and eyes from the sun.

Can I rent kitesurfing equipment from Windy Quests?

If you do not wish to bring your own equipment for your trip, Windy Quests can provide equipment rentals with top of the line gear from North Kiteboarding and Mystic boarding.

Is there a safe place to store my kitesurfing equipment at Kite Villa?

The Kite Villa has a safe storage area for your kitesurfing equipment as well as acces to fresh water to clean your equipment after your session as well as a place to dry your gear.

What kind of activities can I do besides kitesurfing?

Besides kitesurfing, there are many other activities you can do in Greece such as wingfoiling, SUP, wakeboarding, Wake foiling, snorkelling in the beautiful clear waters, and exploring the local culture and cuisine. We can also arrange any other activities you would like to do during your stay.

How do I get to Nissakia Loutsa?

You can reach Athens Airport from every international Airport. We will arrange a transfer from the airport to the kite villa for you (15 minutes drive).

What is the cancellation policy for Windy Quests’s trips?

The following charges apply to all confirmed reservations to Windy Quests: Upon cancellation of a reservation, a cancellation fee will be charged to the client according to the following scale: 20% of the total amount of the reservation for cancellations made up to 30 days prior to the arrival date. 25% of the total amount of the reservation for cancellations made 29 to 22 days prior to the arrival date. 30% of the total amount of the reservation for cancellations made 21 to 15 days prior to the arrival date. 60% of the total amount of the reservation for cancellations made 14 to 8 days prior to the arrival date. 100% of the total amount of the reservation for cancellations 8 days or less prior to the arrival date. In case of no-show or departure prior to the scheduled date, cancellation fees amounting to 100% of the total cost of the reservation will be charged.
